The mayor of the Córdoba town of La Calera, Fernando Rambaldi, consolidates his institutional position through favorable indicators in local consideration after two years at the helm of the municipal administration. The administrative scheme implemented in the municipality of the Colón department is observed by various party structures as a possible testing ground for structuring future electoral alliances in the province. Opinion surveys show a trend of support that places the ruling leadership with measurable advantages over the main local Peronist opposition figures.

A technical study conducted by the consulting firm Doxa recorded a 47% positive image compared to 40.1% negative opinions during the measurements corresponding to the end of the previous annual period. Additionally, a report from the firm In Focus placed the approval of the local government at 53.2%, while the level of rejection stood at 41.9%, yielding a favorable balance of 11.3 points. Projections for the upcoming municipal elections grant a voting intention of 42.7% for the mayor compared to 32% obtained by Facundo Rufeil.

The statistical scenario widens the gap to 42.8% against 25.9% when measuring the ruling candidate against leader Gastón Morán in the same polls. In the alternatives evaluating candidate Ariel Aleksandroff, the result shows 44% against 16.7%, while against Rodrigo Rufeil the measurement is set at 46.2% against 29.3%. The municipality's operational planning bases its daily work on institutional guidelines that focus, among other things, on resource allocation and social services.

Infrastructure development and reforms in voting

The social assistance centralized by the Family Welfare Secretariat ensures regular food support to a total of 2,000 families residing in vulnerable sectors, clearly aligning with the national government on assistance to the most disadvantaged. Meanwhile, the local infrastructure plan includes the execution of more than 100 public works financed through the incorporation of its own machinery and a reorganization of public funds. Among the main interventions, the comprehensive repaving of Bolívar Avenue and the construction of a modern Waste Transfer Center stand out.

Furthermore, the Deliberative Council approved an electoral reform that mandatorily introduced the mechanism of Single Voting Ballot for the renewal of local positions. The new regulatory framework establishes the formation of an Electoral Board governed by technical profiles and sets severe penalties to combat political clientelism in the territory. The legislation strictly restricts the use of state resources in campaigning activities and penalizes irregular maneuvers known as "chain voting" or ballot theft.

The update of the oversight procedures was designed after the municipality submitted a formal presentation to the Federal Justice for anomalies in the voter rolls. The investigation determined the presence of more than 500 deceased individuals listed in the active rolls, with about 70 of them having cast votes since 2018. The competent prosecutors are keeping legal proceedings open to clarify the criminal responsibilities arising from the maneuvers reported in the elections.
