Maradona Case: Today the owner of the house where he lived his last days will testify
The owner of the house where Maradona spent his last days testified in the trial over his death
The trial for the death of Diego Maradona continues to progress, and this Tuesday it was the turn for new key statements. The owner of the house where Maradona lived his last days, Santiago Giorello, was one of those who provided his testimony.
Additionally, Andrea Flavia Penelope Jordan, the real estate agent in charge of managing the rental in the San Andrés de Tigre country club, where the Argentine soccer star spent his last days, also appeared. Both testimonies provided important information to clarify the context of his arrival at the property and the last negotiations before the tragic outcome.

The real estate agent's testimony
Andrea Flavia Penelope Jordan, from Jordan Camus real estate, detailed how the house rental process was. In a previous statement, she explained that she had worked with Maradona in choosing the property.
Jordan recalled that the player had a limited budget for his rental, of around U$S 20,000 for a two-month period. Additionally, she highlighted that Maradona's daughters, especially Giannina Maradona, actively participated in the selection of the house.
The house selection process
The house in the San Andrés country club was chosen after several video calls, in which the property's features were detailed. The rental was confirmed shortly after, and the contract was signed for a value of U$S 16,000 for the period between November and January. However, Maradona had expressed his desire to stay there only until the end of January, possibly to be closer to his family.

The statement of Santiago Giorello, the house owner
Santiago Giorello, the property owner, also provided his testimony. In his 2020 statement, he recounted how the rental agreement with the real estate agency was made, initially not knowing that his tenant would be Diego Maradona. Giorello accepted the house rental due to economic needs and after an agreement with his neighbor, who managed the transaction.
The owner was surprised to learn that the tenant would be Maradona. He recalled that upon learning of the situation, he began to prepare the house, closing some rooms. Upon learning of his death, he was willing to help, although he has not yet received a response from Maradona's representatives.

The relationship with Maradona's family
Giorello explained that after Maradona's death, he tried to contact Vanesa Morla and Maxi Pomargo, but never received a response. This gesture underscores the complexity of the relationships around Maradona's figure, even after his death.
The property in question, located in the exclusive San Andrés country club, was selected by Maradona and his daughter Giannina, who actively participated in the selection. The place, ideal for his tranquility and privacy, was key for the soccer star to rest after his discharge from the hospital.
