The Velada del Año V, organized by Ibai Llanos at the La Cartuja stadium, featured several standout moments, but the most controversial was the fight between Viruzz and Tomás Mazza. It was the only one without a helmet and ended with a controversial unanimous decision in favor of the Spaniard.
One of those who was not satisfied with the verdict was Sergio "Maravilla" Martínez, former world champion and a leading figure in Argentine boxing. He was very alert to what was happening with his compatriot, followed the fight live, and his reaction after the winner was announced was one of total disbelief.
When the announcer communicated that the decision was unanimous, Maravilla took it for granted that Mazza was the winner. However, upon hearing Viruzz's name, he was paralyzed for a few seconds and then exclaimed: "No, guys," while those around him spoke directly of "robbery." Immediately afterward, he concluded with a forceful phrase: "Viruzz knows it."
