Marcelo Polino spoke about Antonio Gasalla's difficult end and moved everyone
Polino spoke on Infama about Antonio Gasalla's deterioration and how it was to say goodbye to his great friend
Marcelo Polino shared intimate details on Infama about the deterioration of Antonio Gasalla in his final days.
The journalist appeared visibly moved as he recalled the relationship that had united them for more than 15 years and how their farewell was.

A friendship born amid tensions
"With Antonio, we started off really badly, he had a tremendous character," Polino confessed in a conversation with Marcela Tauro. But everything changed when Gasalla moved near his house and they began talking daily.
For 15 years, they shared daily phone conversations. "We laughed at people," he recalled through tears. Today, passing by his old house, Polino feels the void: "He's no longer there... it's a very big loss."
Marcelo Polino's farewell
Polino recounted that March 9 was Gasalla's birthday, and he was able to spend that day with him at the Otamendi sanatorium. "I finished in Carlos Paz, came, and it was just his birthday. I spent the whole day with him," he related.

The journalist spoke of a year filled with emotions. "On one hand, the tours, the ovations... and on the other, the griefs: you never finish," he summarized.
Gasalla's last contact with reality
Marcelo revealed that Gasalla had lost almost all sense of the present. "He didn't recognize anyone. The last sign was when he was given the Martín Fierro," he explained.

At that moment, Antonio seemed to recognize the faces of Susana and Mirtha in a video. But he didn't understand what was happening. "Nor what the situation was," Polino said.
