The UTA strike will leave millions without buses on March 28. Find out which lines won't be operating

The Union of Automotive Tram Drivers (UTA) will halt public transportation with a 24-hour bus strike this Friday, March 28. The measure is in response to a wage claim, but it leaves millions of passengers without mobility options.

Meanwhile, as the conflict worsens, users are left in the middle, without buses and without clear alternatives. Below is the list of affected lines and the impact the measure will have.

UTA strike: another blow to public transportation

The union led by Roberto Fernández announced the strike after the failure of negotiations with sector entrepreneurs. According to the UTA, the refusal to grant wage increases is the reason for the measure.

However, the reality is that the Ministry of Transportation's Resolution 8/2025 has already established that there will be no increases until June. Despite this, the union insists on pressing with forceful measures that end up affecting users.

Are there transportation alternatives?

Despite the bus strike, the train and subway services in the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA) will operate normally.

However, the lack of buses will generate higher demand for other means of transportation, which could lead to delays and overcrowding.
