The businessman recalled that Moreno was responsible for threats and a climate of harassment toward businesspeople

Businessman and host Mario Pergolini launched harsh criticism against Guillermo Moreno, former Secretary of Commerce under Kirchnerism, after the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation upheld two convictions against him.
In his editorial on Vorterix, Pergolini recalled the conflicts he had with the former official and described him in harsh terms: "When I was setting up Vorterix, that man wouldn't let me get into anything, he treated me very badly, he threatened me, he was a bully, an imbecile, a mediocre person, a fool, a man with little vision."
The businessman recounted that during the years when Moreno exercised strict control over commerce and imports, he faced arbitrary obstacles that affected the development of his project. "The only thing I noticed was power. At no time did he show that he had the intelligence to explain why something could or couldn't be imported," Pergolini stated, visibly upset as he recalled those episodes.

Pergolini's reaction came after the confirmation of the convictions against Moreno: one for coercive threats at a Papel Prensa assembly and another for embezzlement and incitement to collective violence.
Both cases involve sentences of two to two and a half years (2 to 2.5 years) of suspended imprisonment, in addition to absolute disqualification from holding public office. The Supreme Court's decision marks the judicial closure of a long list of cases that accompanied the former official's administration, a symbol of the most authoritarian and overbearing methods of Kirchnerism.

Pergolini welcomed the ruling and did not hide his satisfaction: "Because of imbeciles like him, this almost didn't happen and I remember it very well. I was a witness, nobody told me about it and I know exactly how it all went." He then added: "That idiot has now received a Supreme Court conviction, two, not one. He deserved it for being a bully, for being a bad person, for having nothing to say, and I hate him."
The host also recalled that Moreno was responsible for the manipulation of INDEC and the climate of harassment toward businesspeople and critical journalists during the Kirchnerist decade. "He altered INDEC and went around with impunity everywhere saying: 'Because I can talk'," he pointed out.
"I'm glad it happened," Pergolini said about the judicial confirmation. His harsh words reflect the exhaustion of many sectors that suffered the abuses, authoritarianism, and intolerance of Kirchnerism.
