Martín Fierro 2025: Santiago del Moro won the Gold and surprised with his speech

The 53rd edition of the Martín Fierro Awards was held this Monday, September 29, at the Hilton Hotel, with a live broadcast on Telefe. The ceremony brought together the leading figures of Argentine television for a night filled with emotion.

Santiago del Moro, host of the gala, won the 2025 Martín Fierro de Oro and surprised everyone by announcing his own name live.

A night of great recognition

Organized by the Argentine Association of Television and Radio Journalists (APTRA), the awards honored the most outstanding productions and talents. Telefe's broadcast lasted more than four hours.

Among the most moving moments, the Martín Fierro a la Leyenda for Mirtha Legrand stood out, as well as a tribute to Jorge Lanata and a remembrance of the artists who have passed away.

Del Moro and his most dreamed-of award

The host of Gran Hermano was the one who opened the envelope with the winner of the top award. When he read his own name, surprise turned into emotion and the audience gave him a standing ovation.

"A couple of years ago, people told me you could win it and I thought this moment would never come. This is the award for hard work and for getting up every day at a quarter to five in the morning," he said, moved.

A speech that touched the heart

With tears in his eyes, Del Moro thanked those who supported him in his career and encouraged everyone to trust in hard work. "There are many people who inspired me and others to whom I showed that with hard work, it can be done."

The host closed with a message that moved everyone present: "I had dreamed since I was very little of being here and today I'm fulfilling a dream. Thank you APTRA, long live television! I love you all, long live Argentina!".
