Maru Botana was at the center of controversy after her neighbors accused her of generating unpleasant odors in the neighborhood. According to reports on LAM, the chef allegedly leaves garbage piled up at her doorstep, causing inconvenience to those living nearby.
Journalist Pepe Ochoa revealed details of the situation and shared images on the program. In the videos, a significant amount of waste can be seen accumulated on the sidewalk. "Look at the garbage, so later they don't say I'm lying," the person recording the scene is heard saying.

Maru Botana defended herself: "We can't control it"
Far from remaining silent, the chef decided to give her version of events. In a conversation with TN Show, she explained that the problem is not her fault, but rather the people who rummage through the street containers.
"We handle all the garbage issues well, but the people on the street open our bags and leave everything scattered," she asserted. According to Botana, this happens constantly and is beyond her control.

The other criticisms Maru Botana received
Besides the waste conflict, some neighbors complained about the way she walks her dogs. They indicated that the chef doesn't comply with hygiene and safety regulations when walking her pets around the neighborhood.
These remarks come at a time of high media exposure for Botana. Recently, she had a clash with Yanina Latorre, who recalled her relationship with a famous Argentine chef. Despite the controversy, the pastry chef remains focused on her projects and continues sharing recipes with her followers.
