The first elimination gala of MasterChef Celebrity (Telefe) brought strong emotions, difficult decisions, and an unexpected surprise. The jury faced an intense day where two contestants said goodbye to the competition amid tension and heartfelt farewells.
The show, which brings together various celebrities in a culinary challenge, began with a kitchen classic: meatballs with sauce and a side dish. However, the cooks had to add a touch of originality to stand out before the demanding eyes of Damián Betular, Donato De Santis, and Germán Martitegui.

A night filled with tension and difficult decisions
After tasting the dishes, the jury called Andy Chango, Julia Calvo, Susana Roccasalvo, and Pablito Lescano to the front. All four continued in the competition, although the singer surprised everyone by announcing his voluntary resignation due to work commitments.
Then it was the turn of Roña Castro, Esteban Mirol, Emilia Attias, and Luis Ventura, who waited nervously for the final decision. "Four dishes with many difficulties. What we decide is by a hair. We understand this is the first week. It's very difficult to be the first to leave, but rules are rules," Betular explained, highlighting how close the decision was.
Who was saved and who said goodbye to the competition
Finally, Betular announced: "Those who are saved and continue for another week in this competition are Emilia and Esteban." Immediately after, he revealed the outcome no one wanted to hear: "The cook who leaves the MasterChef Celebrity kitchens is Roña Castro. Congratulations, Luis, you remain in the competition."
The boxer's farewell
Donato De Santis dedicated a few words to the athlete: "We didn't get to know you much, but we know how much you do outside, with the soup kitchens and your family. You are a very kind person, so I congratulate you a lot."
With emotion, Roña Castro said goodbye to the competition with a phrase that reflected his humility: "I hope the best of all my fellow contestants wins.".
