Redacción MasterChef revealed its 14 figures: an ex of Wanda, a heartthrob, a pop idol, and more
The new edition of the reality show already has its celebrities, amid surprises, controversies, and high expectations. Who they are
Ángel de Brito opened his program LAM (América) on Thursday, the 24th with a scoop awaited by the entertainment world: he confirmed the list of 14 celebrities who will participate in the new season of MasterChef on Telefe.
The cooking competition has positioned itself as one of the channel's strongest bets. Its celebrity version generates great expectations due to the combination of competition, charisma, and media scandals.
Maxi López leads the list of confirmed figures
One of the biggest surprises was the inclusion of Maxi López. The former player, known for his story with Wanda Nara, adds an extra spice to the show, as the businesswoman would be the one to host the cycle again. His presence is seen as an explosive move in television terms.
It was also confirmed that Lizy Tagliani will participate, arriving amid a media controversy following the accusations by Viviana Canosa. Her charisma and humor promised memorable moments in the competition.
Marcela Feudale is another of the announced figures. De Brito revealed her name surprisingly by opening one of the envelopes live during LAM, causing astonishment on the panel.
Other names that are strongly rumored for this season
Sebastián Estevanez, a well-known telenovela heartthrob, was called for this edition. Florencia Peña was also mentioned, although her presence was still under negotiation. Chano Moreno Charpentier, an icon of Argentine pop, is in advanced talks to join, although he hasn't been officially confirmed.
Ángel de Brito hinted that one of his program's panelists —an "angelita"— would be part of the cast, although he avoided giving her name. That mystery fueled the intrigue around the show.
Later, he revealed that Yanina Latorre is the second "angelita" invited to participate in the cooking competition, although she anticipated that she doesn't want to leave any of her jobs.
Another figure from América who was called to compete in MasterChef was Adrián Pallares, host of the show Intrusos. His inclusion adds a strong profile within the space of the game among celebrities.
Zaira Nara is also on the list of invitees, as is Rocío Oliva, who returns to the media scene with this participation.
A fresh and novel bet comes with Flor Jazmín Peña. The influencer, who recently announced her partial departure from Luzu TV, was chosen as one of the new faces for this edition of the reality show.
Nicole Neumann was one of the figures tempted to join the competition, which would represent a high-impact return to competitive television.
The big surprise came at the end of LAM, when Ángel de Brito announced two unexpected names: Carolina "Pampita" Ardohain and the father ofMauro Icardi, Wanda Nara's former father-in-law, who would complete a list full of strong figures and explosive media connections.
Telefe made a strong bet with this casting. The formula of celebrities, latent conflicts, and the demands of professional cooking once again showed its strength as one of the most profitable products on Argentine television.
