In the midst of the serious security crisis generated by the disastrous government of Axel Kicillof, a 35-year-old man was shot dead in González Catán, a district of La Matanza, during a robbery that occurred in broad daylight.
The victim, identified as Daniel Callecusi, was shot in the head when he tried to prevent two criminals from taking his vehicle.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Achupallas and Tuyú streets, in the Villa Dorrego neighborhood. Callecusi had stopped there in his black Renault Duster and got out of the vehicle to walk towards a house.
The incident
According to the images from the security cameras included in the investigation, two criminals walking on the opposite side approached the car after noticing that the driver had moved away. The suspects headed towards the truck with the intention of starting it and escaping.
However, Callecusi noticed what was happening and ran back to try to prevent the robbery. At that moment, a struggle began with one of the assailants.
The criminal pulled out a firearm that he had on him and shot him in the head. Callecusi fell to the ground, while the murderers continued with the robbery and escaped in the vehicle.
A neighbor found the victim injured on the dirt road and decided to rush him to a UPA (Urgent Care Unit) located nearby. Despite the transfer, the on-duty doctors confirmed his death.

The Monteoliva Bodyguard
The murder occurred just hours after another violent episode recorded in La Matanza, where a bodyguard of the National Security Minister, Alejandra Monteoliva, was attacked and ended up shooting at criminals after they attempted to kill him to rob him.
In the case of Callecusi's murder, prosecutor Claudio Fornaro, from the Homicide Unit of La Matanza, is involved, having ordered various measures to identify and locate those responsible for the murder.
As part of the investigation, during the early hours of this Wednesday, members of the Tactical Operational Group (GTO) of the 4th South Police Station of Villa Dorrego carried out raids in different parts of the district.
The measures were ordered based on the images obtained from the security cameras, which allowed for the actions of the murderers to be recorded.
As of Wednesday morning, the individuals responsible for the crime had still not been found and continued to be sought by the Buenos Aires Police.
The case once again highlights a new wave of insecurity and death in Kicillof's conurbation, this time with a neighbor shot in the head while trying to prevent criminals from taking his car.
