The athlete targeted Wanda Nara and Maxi López after the dismissal of a criminal case against him
Amid his scandalous separation from Wanda Nara, Mauro Icardi has once again made headlines due to a post that did not go unnoticed.
The Galatasaray footballer publicly celebrated a court ruling in his favor in a criminal case initiated by his ex-wife and former footballer Maxi López.
True to his direct style, Icardi shared an image of a folder with the caption "Criminal case. Archived" and wrote: "They tell me through the earpiece that the case was archived. Are you surprised? I'm not. Another fabrication, another lie, another false accusation."

The post reignited the controversy surrounding the legal and personal conflicts involving the player.
Far from toning things down, Icardi added a forceful statement in which he referred to Wanda and López's children, whom he has raised as his own: "The only thing I hope is that they don't keep using five minors because the damage is irreparable. The masks keep falling off little by little."
Although he did not mention names, the message was interpreted as a direct criticism of his ex-wife, with whom he is going through a separation process filled with reproaches, legal disputes, and media speculation.

Elba Marcovecchio's statement on Icardi and his return to the country
Attorney Elba Marcovecchio, who legally represents Icardi, was interviewed on the red carpet at the Martín Fierro 2025 about the striker's legal situation and his possible return to Argentina. Far from avoiding the questions, she replied diplomatically but without evasion.
"She is the mother of my client's children. Beyond the differences, I respect and value her," she said when asked about a possible reunion with Wanda Nara at the event.
Regarding the footballer's return to the country, Marcovecchio left the door open: "We'll see... I would love it, but we'll see."
She also dispelled any doubts regarding his legal situation: "There is no legal impediment preventing him from traveling," she assured, making it clear that, at least from a legal standpoint, Icardi could return to Argentina at any time.
However, it is unknown when he will see his daughters again, considering that more than three months have already passed without contact.
