Máxima Zorreguieta and Franco Colapinto: what the queen said that no one expected
During the Grand Prix in Zandvoort, the Argentine queen of the Netherlands surprised with her comment
Queen Máxima of the Netherlands became the unexpected protagonist of the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Zandvoort. Accompanied by King Willem-Alexander and their three daughters—Amalia, Alexia, and Ariane—the monarch walked the grid before the race and ended up giving statements to the press.
Máxima, between Colapinto and Verstappen
The question that many Argentinians asked themselves arose during the broadcast: "Was her heart with Franco Colapinto, the young national prospect making waves in motorsport?" Máxima's answer left no room for speculation.

With a smile, she clarified: "I'm Queen of the Netherlands, so well, I wish both of them the best." However, her enthusiasm was directed straight toward Max Verstappen, the Dutch driver who dominated Formula 1. "It was wonderful to be here. I think this could be one of the last times Formula 1 is held in the Netherlands, with a marvelous atmosphere and spirit. Of course, we're going to support Max Verstappen," she stated firmly.

Before saying goodbye, Máxima also left a reassuring message for the public and the drivers: "Let there be no accidents."

Royal Sunday and return to routine
The Zandvoort GP was not only a sporting event of global impact; it was also the first official family outing for the royals after their summer vacation. The Dutch royal family spent their break in Doroufi, Greece, where they own a villa on the Aegean Sea, and now returned to the public eye with great energy.
