The operations were carried out in several neighborhoods due to robberies, property crimes, and urban violence
The Córdoba Police arrested 46 people in a series of simultaneous raids carried out in different neighborhoods of the city on Friday morning. These operations were led by the General Directorate of Criminal Investigations and were in response to investigations into aggravated robberies, property crimes, and urban violence. The individuals arrested are believed to be linked to ongoing judicial cases and to various infractions detected during the operations.
As part of these procedures, security forces seized 12 firearms and other items of interest for the cases under investigation. The raids were conducted in a coordinated manner across several sectors, with a significant deployment of specialized police personnel. Authorities from the Ministry of Security stated that these efforts are part of a comprehensive plan to combat crime in the province.
The actions were carried out under the supervision of the Chief of Police, Leonardo Gutiérrez, who was accompanied by the Minister of Security, Juan Pablo Quinteros. The supervision also included the General Director of Criminal Investigations, Alberto Bietti, and other authorities from the force. The press conference to provide details of the actions taken was held at the 20th police station, where the seized items were displayed.

Magnitude of the operation and coordination among police departments
According to statements from those responsible for the operation, the arrests are part of a broad investigation against local criminal organizations. Gutiérrez emphasized that police actions aim not only to detain those involved but also to dismantle networks operating in different areas of the city. The prior investigative work made it possible to establish the suspects' locations and act simultaneously.
Minister Quinteros stressed that this type of operation will continue to be implemented as part of a sustained public security strategy. He explained that the weapons and items seized will be analyzed to determine their connection to other crimes recorded in the province. He also noted that coordination with the Judiciary is key to advancing criminal proceedings.
Meanwhile, Alberto Bietti highlighted the commitment of police personnel in carrying out these procedures and the importance of acting swiftly. He indicated that investigations will continue to identify other possible individuals involved in the cases already opened. The Ministry of Security reaffirmed that these operations will be carried out constantly to address the growing concerns of residents.
