Mengolini: A story of persecution against freedom of expression

The Kirchnerist journalist seeks to silence dissenting voices that could compromise her political objectives

The ultra-Kirchnerist journalist Julia Mengolini decided to file a complaint against everyone in the liberal sphere. From President Javier Milei to National Deputy Lilia Lemoine, provincial legislator Agustín Romo, director Santiago Oría, and even ordinary civilians who use the social network X, such as Daniel Parisini (Gordo Dan), "negro" Almeida, users TraductorTeAma and lorem ipsum, and even the author of these lines.

The charges she alleges are threats, public intimidation, advocacy of crime, illicit association, and embezzlement of public funds. The case is being processed before the Federal Criminal and Correctional Court No. 2 of San Isidro, presided over by Judge Sandra Arroyo Salgado.

In her complaint, Mengolini stated that the expressions she received against her following the leak of an alleged intimate relationship she had with her brother consisted, according to her, of a systematic intimidation plan orchestrated by the State, all under the direction of President Milei, who, in turn, she claims, paid the rest of the people in the liberal sphere to move against her.

Meanwhile, Mengolini's maneuver, regardless of the delusional nature of her statements, not only constitutes a false complaint filed solely for the purpose of gaining some kind of notoriety for political purposes, but also a real nuisance for all those who legitimately exercise their right to freedom of expression.

The public's reaction to Mengolini following the leak is exclusively a response to her own statements on the ultra-Kirchnerist program "Duro de Domar," hosted by the well-known children's best friend, Pablo Duggan, in which she shamelessly stated that then-presidential candidate Javier Milei maintained an incestuous relationship with his sister. These same statements are what people reminded Mengolini of once the alleged carnal relationship between her and her brother came to light.

This victimhood in which Mengolini engages contradicts her own usual statements on her obscure radio program broadcast by her own media outlet, Futurock. The journalist publicly and repeatedly called for beating and even murdering streamers and journalists such as Tipito Enojado and "negro" Almeida.

Even her own co-host, the former convict for multiple robberies and drug trafficking turned elected Buenos Aires legislator, "pitu" Salvatierra, directly stated that he would shoot to kill any Milei voter who tried to approach them, all under Mengolini's deep laughter.

These statements prompted the filing of a complaint for coercive threats and public intimidation. This is because not only does she seek to intimidate indeterminate people (that is, Milei voters as a generic term), but also those she falsely accused, thus involving specific individuals and consequently aggravated threats.

Added to this is the complaint that "negro" Almeida filed against Mengolini herself following her public call to beat and murder him, as well as multiple civil lawsuits for damages for having attacked and offended the honor and freedom of expression of civilians and journalists.

This maneuver by Mengolini, common among Kirchnerists, seeks to criminalize freedom of expression and is just another attempt among many others to silence people who freely express themselves on social networks.

Malena Galmarini has also tried, failed first lady, failed mayor, and failed complainant in a mega case that sought to link ordinary "twitter users" with former President Macri, President Milei, Fernando Cerimedo, evangelical movements from the United States, and even the CIA.

Currently, organizations such as FOPEA and National Deputies such as Cecilia and Leopoldo Moreau, Santiago Cafiero, Marcela Pagano, Esteban Paulón, among other opponents of the government, are also attempting it.

The ultimate goal sought is to silence dissenting voices that compromise their spurious political aims, not only ideological but also economic, in order to avoid objections among public opinion and thus get their way.

This will not happen. Firstly, because the legitimate exercise of freedom of expression can in no way be considered a crime, much less by those accused. Secondly, because society will not only continue to express itself as it has been doing, but will also take to court all those who try to silence them.

There is no more patience for the dictatorial delusions of the left. If they want to take the dispute to the judicial arena, it will be there where they will have to provide the relevant explanations and, of course, pay handsomely for all the inconvenience caused.
