Trump will sue The Wall Street Journal for falsely linking him to Jeffrey Epstein

The newspaper presented a birthday letter addressed to the financier and falsely claimed that it was authored by Trump

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced on Thursday his intention to sue the Wall Street Journal and its owner, Rupert Murdoch, for publishing an article that falsely links him to the pedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein.

The defamatory publication claims that the Wall Street Journal newsroom obtained a birthday card that Trump allegedly sent toEpsteinin 2003.

According to the tabloid, Trump marked this card inside the silhouette of a naked woman drawn by hand and wrote the following message addressed to the late financier: "a friend is a wonderful thing. Happy birthday, and may every day be another wonderful secret."

The president's reaction was swift. Through Truth Social, he categorically denied the authenticity of the letter and stated that the media outlet was informed of the falsehood of the document before the article was published.

A history of repeated defamation

This is not the first time that Democratic media outlets have slandered and defamedTrump and have then been brought to justice for their actions.

In recent months, the Republican has taken legal action against corporations such as ABC and 60 Minutes/CBS and indicated that he expects to do the same with the Wall Street Journal, a media outlet he described as "formerly great."

In December of last year, the former White House press chief under Clinton, George Stephanopoulos, and his employer ABC News agreed to pay Trump the sum of 15 million dollars for having conducted an interview in which they falsely accused him of having been convicted of sexual assault.

The New York magnate also achieved another legal victory by reaching a financial settlement with Paramount Global and CBS for an amount close to 30 million dollars. In the agreement, the program "60 Minutes" admitted to having edited an interview with then-candidate Kamala Harris in a favorable manner for the Democrat.

Vance defends Trump

Vice President J.D. Vancecame out in defense of his running mate, harshly criticizing the Wall Street Journal for what he considers an example of irresponsible and decadent journalism.

"Excuse my language, but this story is complete and utter garbage. The Wall Street Journal should be ashamed for publishing it," Vance wrote on social media.

The former senator questioned the veracity of the alleged letter, noting that it has not yet been released. "Where is that letter? Would you be surprised to know that they never showed it to us before publishing it? Does anyone honestly believe that sounds like Donald Trump?"

Trump orders release of Epstein case documents

Tired of the political use that Democrats have made of this very sensitive case of a child trafficking network, Trump ordered his attorney general that, with prior court authorization, declassify the court documents of the Epstein case.

In particular, the president has asked Pam Bondi to publish the grand jury documents from Manhattan that formally indicted Epstein for sex trafficking of minors, days before the financier was found dead in his cell under mysterious circumstances.
