Futurock wanted to get involved in politics within the establishment, but was prohibited from doing so
Ultra-Kirchnerist journalist Julia Mengolini and her outlet Futurock went to the entrance of Hospital Garrahan to engage in political activity against Javier Milei's government and to disturb sick children. The goal of the Kirchnerist outlet was to enter the facility, but they were denied entry.
Previously, Hospital Garrahan published a statement in which it rejected the intention of Futurock and its host Julia Mengolini to conduct a live broadcast from inside the medical center.
According to the authorities of the hospital, the proposed activity would disrupt the clinical work environment and would put at risk the well-being of the hospitalized children and their families, who are going through especially sensitive times.
The decision was made after it became known that Mengolini and her team planned to enter the hospital to conduct a live report, which included politically charged interviews inside the hospital, where pediatric patients are being treated for various complex conditions. However, Mengolini did not care about the situation of the sick children and decided to do it at the entrance.

In its official statement, the hospital expressed its position firmly but with respect for freedom of expression: "We want to state, with the utmost respect and understanding for the value of freedom of expression, that an activity of these characteristics should not take place within the hospital grounds."
They argued that the presence of cameras and microphones interferes with the tranquility that the facility must guarantee to children undergoing treatment and their families, who are already experiencing emotionally difficult situations.

The hospital's management emphasized that this type of exposure not only represents an unnecessary increase in stress for patients, but it can also affect the normal development of medical and care tasks. For this reason, they urged those responsible at Futurock to act with discernment and prioritize the well-being of minors: "We ask you to kindly ensure the preservation of the hospital environment as a space of care, support, and respect."

Meanwhile, Garrahan clarified that it doesn't oppose journalistic work or public expressions, as long as these do not interfere with the normal functioning of a highly complex healthcare facility. "We trust in the good judgment of all parties," the statement concluded.
In a context where pediatric hospitals must guarantee safe and calm environments, Garrahan once again prioritized its commitment to the health and respect of children, although the Kirchnerist outlet did not care and sought to engage in politics with underage patients.
