Meta Connect 2026 presented a new generation of smart glasses and virtual reality devices. Among the main announcements were the Meta VR Glasses, the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3, and the new Ray-Ban Meta Audio.
The companyalso announced updates for its display glasses, audio improvements, new video games, and immersive movie and sports experiences.

Meta VR Glasses: virtual reality glasses for US$1,300
The Meta VR Glasses will arrive in spring 2027 with a 5K display, spatial audio, and an external device with a Qualcomm Snapdragon Reality Elite processor. They weigh about 100 grams and offer up to three hours of battery life.
They will be compatible with Quest games, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and Windows and Mac computers. They will also allow video calls with holographic avatars and use Meta AI features through voice, gaze, and gestures.

The Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 incorporates a 12-megapixel camera with 3K recording, a battery of up to nine hours, and improvements in noise reduction. They are available starting at US$449, with new designs and special editions.

The company also introduced the Ray-Ban Meta Audio, a model without a camera that allows users to listen to music, podcasts, and make calls. It offers up to 12 hours of battery life and will cost from US$349, with shipments starting on October 13.

The Meta Ray-Ban Display will expand its availability to Germany, France, and Italy, with prices starting at 899 euros. They will also add directions for bicycles and public transport, video calls with holographic avatars, and new applications.

Meta will also incorporate an audio enhancement feature for noisy environments. It will first arrive in the United States and, after a 30-day trial, will have a one-time price of US$149.
Beat Saber and new virtual reality games
Beat Saber will receive an update with hand tracking and a new single-player mode called Flux, which will include 35 initial songs. Supernatural, the virtual exercise platform, will also return to Meta Horizon Store with new workouts and visual improvements.
Upcoming releases include Payday: Aces High and Two Point Hospital for Meta Quest, as well as versions of Tetris Effect and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies for virtual reality.

Disney+, movies, and sports in virtual reality
Meta will expand its entertainment offerings with 3D movies from Disney+ and immersive experiences through Disney Immersive Cinema by ILM. It will also add content from National Geographic and a library of movies for rent or purchase.
In sports, it will incorporate immersive broadcasts from ESPN in 8K and 180-degree views. Additionally, users of Meta VR Glasses will be able to access more than 100 live sports events per year, through agreements with MLB, NBC Sports, TNT Sports, and UFC.

Muse Charm: Meta's artificial intelligence device
At the close of Meta Connect 2026, Mark Zuckerberg introduced Muse Charm, a compact device with a screen, speakers, microphones, and a fingerprint sensor that integrates the Muse artificial intelligence agent.
The device has a keychain format and incorporates real-time voice functions and avatars. Meta anticipates sharing more details before the end of the year.
