Diego Omar Suárez, better known as Michelo, became a trending topic again, but not because of his viral videos or his political provocations. This time, the influencer from Salta crossed a line that sparked concern: he accused Lionel Messi of being a "covert agent" for Mossad, the Israeli intelligence service.
The accusation was made in a video that quickly spread across social media. Michelo, with his usual tone that blends provocation and conspiracy, suggested that the Newell's Old Boys jersey—which Messi wore—was "evidence" of the alleged relationship between the footballer and Jewish intelligence agencies. He based his theory on the claim that the jersey's sponsor, NUM, is allegedly linked to Israeli interests. However, he did not present any evidence.
Support for Maduro, conspiracy theories, and unfiltered antisemitism
Michelo is no stranger to controversy. For some time, he has used his social media, especially Instagram—after losing his TikTok accounts—to share highly charged political messages. For a while now, he has openly defended Nicolás Maduro's dictatorship, and he has harshly criticized Argentine president Javier Milei. Recently, he also lashed out at Máximo Kirchner.

He accused Cristina Fernández's son of "allying with the right" and "betraying Néstor's legacy." As a result of these statements, a fake news story began to circulate claiming he had died. The rumor grew during the afternoon of Monday, June 2, on X (formerly Twitter), where his name appeared among the top trends. He did not come out to deny it, but he remained active on Instagram.
His followers quickly noticed that the influencer was still posting. He even shared a new video caused with artificial intelligence featuring Máximo Kirchner and Karina Milei, with a caption that read: "With Milei there's unity too. Don't burn me, the grassroots will get angry."
