Miguel Ángel Pierri, Morena Rial's lawyer, referred to the case and admitted that the situation is "hyper complex." He explained that the leaked messages are part of "preparatory acts" that, in technical terms, wouldn't be punishable, although the Justice will decide her responsibility.
"Morena is already in a complicated situation and we're trying to simplify it. She must comply with judicial requests and attend therapy. From what happened, she became aware of the mistakes she made in Córdoba and Tucumán", he stated on the program DDM, (América).
He also expressed surprise and indignation at the dissemination of the chats in the media. "I called the prosecutor and asked why they were in the hands of the press. They have the right to inform, but there's a limit," he maintained. He also confirmed that the case "will definitely go to trial."
