The presidential pre-candidate from Centro Democrático, Miguel Uribe Londoño, revealed that, according to information confirmed by the Office of the Attorney General, the money used to finance the murder of his son, Miguel Uribe Turbay, allegedly came from Venezuela.
In a conversation with La FM, Uribe explained that the funds were used to pay the eight people involved in the attack, among them alias "El Viejo", who is reportedly linked to the terrorist organization Segunda Marquetalia, a dissident group of FARC led by Iván Mordisco.
"There is collaboration with Venezuela. This collaboration will surely implicate the Venezuelan government. It remains to be determined who in Colombia gave the order and who was the mastermind," Uribe Londoño stated.

The leader also stated that the terrorist group "Segunda Marquetalia" operates from Venezuelan territory with the endorsement of communist president Gustavo Petro and dictator Nicolás Maduro, whom he accused of allowing armed groups to operate freely on both sides of the border.
"Segunda Marquetalia is in Venezuela, commits crimes in Venezuela, and does so with the authorization of Gustavo Petro and Nicolás Maduro," the pre-candidate emphasized.
Context: the attack and death of Miguel Uribe Turbay
La narcodictadura de Maduro involucrada tras el asesinato de Miguel Uribe Turbay
Miguel Uribe Turbay, senator and presidential pre-candidate for Centro Democrático, was shot on May 4, 2025 during a campaign event in Cundinamarca. He remained hospitalized in critical condition for three months and ultimately died in August of the same year, an event that shook Colombian politics.
The investigation by the Office of the Attorney General identified eight individuals involved in the attack, among them alias "El Viejo," who was captured in the village of Brisas del Guejar, in the municipality of Puerto Lleras (Meta). A judge ordered his preventive detention, considering him the link between the masterminds and the material perpetrators of the attack.
The new revelations indicate that the crime's financing originated in Venezuela, opening a new line of investigation into possible links between Colombian armed groups and Nicolás Maduro's regime.
Gustavo Petro y Nicolas Maduro atrás del atentado contra Uribe
According to the father of the deceased, Uribe Londoño, Segunda Marquetalia operates freely from Venezuelan territory, with political protection and logistical support. It is no secret that the dissidents have refuge in Venezuela, where they find financing and protection, the pre-candidate stated.
These statements reinforce the hypothesis of a transnational plot, with political and criminal components, at a time when Gustavo Petro's government faces strong criticism for its "total peace" policy and the links of government sectors with former FARC guerrilla combatants.
