Milei delivered a historic speech at the inauguration of the 'Portal del Cielo' in Chaco
Javier Milei was praised by the crowd at the inauguration of the country's largest evangelical temple
President Javier Milei starred this Saturday in a historic day in the province of Chaco, where he led the inauguration of the largest evangelical temple in Argentina: the "Portal del Cielo". The impressive auditorium, with a capacity for 15,000 people seated, was filled hours before the start of the event, which was attended by thousands of worshipers from across the country and international delegations convened by the Iglesia Cristiana Internacional.
The activity is part of the World Congress "Invasion of God's Love", one of the most relevant Christian gatherings in Latin America, and marked Milei's first official visit to the province since he assumed the Presidency. The event took place in the city of Resistencia and is organized by the congregation founded in 1994 by pastors Jorge and Alicia Ledesma, which today brings together more than 50,000 active members and keeps an active presence in social work, soup kitchens, and donations.
Before an emotional crowd, Milei delivered a vibrant speech, in which he drew a connection between the Judeo-Christian tradition and the ethical foundations of liberal capitalism. "There are three fronts of battle. The management front, from the Presidency we carry out the reforms that Argentina demands. The cultural battle, where we fight to promote the ideas of freedom and defeat the ideas of socialism. The political front, where we build the institutional power to make reforms possible", the president stated with conviction.
"The culture of work, of saving, of truth, and of law was abandoned. They were replaced by chimeras: leisure, uncontrolled spending, indebtedness, and lies. But capitalism, based on Judeo-Christian values, has been the greatest engine of prosperity in the history of humanity", Milei argued, citing sociologist Max Weber and passages from Genesis to defend the spirit of effort and voluntary cooperation.

During his address, the president delivered a forceful criticism of socialism, which he accused of "reversing the order of the factors that lead to prosperity." He recalled a biblical quote—"Isaac sowed in that land, and God blessed him, and that year he reaped a hundredfold what he had sown"—to illustrate the historical enmity between those who create wealth and those who envy and destroy it.
"The millenary tradition that gave light to the West contains all the necessary elements to make us a prosperous people once again. Argentina will be a beacon to the world, because we are managing to clear away the darkness that cast a shadow over the light of faith", Milei exclaimed before a massive ovation.
The security operation deployed by the Chaco government included more than 120 police officers and a 656-foot (200-meter) perimeter around the premises. Presidential protection is under the responsibility of the Casa Militar, which coordinated his transfer from the Resistencia International Airport "José de San Martín" to the temple. There, he was received by Governor Leandro Zdero, Milei's political ally, who leads the local coalition "Chaco Puede + La Libertad Avanza", winner in the last elections against Peronism.

The "Portal del Cielo" is the result of more than ten years of construction, entirely financed "with cash funds," according to pastor Jorge Ledesma. The vision for the project, he says, arose from a prophetic revelation received 17 years ago. Today, it stands as a symbol of Argentina's spiritual awakening and as the epicenter of a rapidly growing community.
The event also featured the prominent presence of pastor Guillermo Maldonado, former spiritual advisor to President Donald Trump and founder of the El Rey Jesús Ministry in Miami, who delivered the day's central message. His sermon reaffirms the natural alliance between faith, freedom, and prosperity.
Amid an atmosphere of fervor and commitment, Milei concluded his address with a message that transcends the religious and the political: "A people with this flame in their hearts becomes a universal beacon, a light that illuminates humanity with its grace. May God bless us all. Long live freedom, damn it!"
