The National Communications Entity (Enacom) announced in recent hours the allocation of private-use radio spectrum intended for vertical markets, a measure aimed at promoting the development of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in Argentina.
According to authorities, this initiative seeks to boost the growth of strategic sectors of the national industry and strengthen key activities for the country's economic and social development.
Within this framework, the concept of Private Wireless Broadband System (Spiba) was introduced, defined as a radio system that uses digital wireless access and cellular frequency reuse for data transmission and broadband internet access. This system may be used privately by its holder, complementing the specific activity of each company or institution that implements it.
