Milei's government announced the implementation of the Anti-Mafia Law in Rosario.
This measure allows progress against entire organized crime structures, including all their members
The Ministry of National Security announced the activation of the Anti-Mafia Law in the city of Rosario, the epicenter of drug-related violence in Argentina. The measure, promoted by the Government of Javier Milei and coordinated with the Narcocriminality Prosecutor's Office (PROCUNAR), was approved by the Federal Judiciary and represents a paradigm shift in the fight against organized crime.
The new provision establishes the creation of a special investigation zone in critical neighborhoods of Rosario, allowing the use of extraordinary tools for the criminal prosecution of drug trafficking gangs with a high degree of territorial control and organization.
These tools include the possibility of targeting entire organized crime structures, prosecuting not only those who commit specific crimes, but also those who are members of, finance, or protect these mafia networks.

One of the central aspects of this initiative is the formation of a Joint Investigation Team, which coordinates the work of federal and provincial prosecutors. This enables direct and efficient coordination of judicial actions, as well as real-time information sharing between different levels of government. The objective is to break the structural power of criminal organizations operating in Rosario and its surroundings.
"The decision strengthens operational, logistical, and procedural capabilities to act against complex organizations operating under mafia logic," stated the Ministry of Security. The special zone authorized by the Judiciary will also allow for greater deployments of federal forces, comprehensive operations, and a more agile judicial dynamic to respond forcefully to drug trafficking.

The Minister of National Security, Patricia Bullrich, expressed herself on her social media: "The Anti-Mafia Law has been enabled against criminal organizations in Rosario. It's a key tool to go all out against drug traffickers. One falls, they all fall. Crime and membership in the mafia structure are punished," she emphasized. She added: "Mafias aren't invincible. With political will and strong laws, it can be done."
With this decision, Milei's Government seeks to deliver a structural blow to organized crime that, for years, consolidated itself by taking advantage of disastrous Kirchnerist policies that allowed criminals to advance. Milei's Government intervention targets not only the visible heads of drug trafficking, but also aims to dismantle the entire network of complicities that sustained it: logistics, financing, judicial protection, and political corruption.
