The Minister of Health, Mario Lugones, announced the implementation of a progressive distribution scheme for funds collected from services at Hospital SAMIC Cuenca Alta. The initiative, which is part of the efficiency process being promoted in all national hospitals, seeks to ensure that resources are used in a more organized manner and that benefits reach the healthcare team directly.
According to the information provided, 20% of the funds effectively collected from social security and prepaid health insurance will be allocated to improving the working and salary conditions of healthcare and administrative staff. Half of that amount will reinforce the value of on-call shifts, while the other half will be used to grant a bimonthly bonus to permanent staff, those hired under service contracts, and residents.

Incentives to improve efficiency and care
The economic bonus will be calculated based on compliance with working hours and attendance, and will be paid according to the accumulated revenue for each period.
With this scheme, the aim is not only to recognize the work of human resources, but also to encourage active participation in billing processes and the improvement of administrative records, thus promoting more efficient hospital management.
