The Argentine Minister of Defense signed a series of key contracts with the Danish company Terma
In a decisive step toward modernizing military capabilities, Defense Minister Luis Petri signed a series of key contracts this Wednesday in Denmark with the company Terma, which specializes in defense and aerospace technology.
The signing took place within the framework of the ambitious F-16 Program of the Argentine Air Force, which includes the incorporation and upgrade of F-16 fighter jets acquired from the Royal Danish Air Force.
The agreement with Terma includes the incorporation of advanced Electronic Warfare (EW) systems, the modernization of aircraft software and hardware, mission planning tools, ground support equipment, and specialized technical assistance.
These elements represent a significant improvement in the operational capability of the F-16s, aligning the Argentine Air Force with the most modern standards in military technology.
“Terma will provide essential improvements in Electronic Warfare systems, software and hardware upgrades, mission planning tools, ground support equipment, and technical assistance” said Petri through his social media, highlighting the strategic value of the agreement.
The central component of the modernization package focuses on Electronic Warfare capabilities, which are crucial in contemporary conflict scenarios. In this regard, pylons specifically designed by Terma will be incorporated, allowing the integration of multiple systems into a single structure.

Although technical details were not disclosed as they are classified information, it was revealed that Argentina will have access to the most advanced technology currently available on the market.
The Danish company
Terma, founded in 1949 and headquartered in Lystrup, Denmark, is a global leader in the development of technological solutions for defense, including combat management systems, radars, aircraft self-protection, and space technologies. The company has more than 1,900 employees and operates in multiple countries, positioning itself as a top-tier strategic partner.
This agreement represents a new milestone in the policy of re-equipping and modernizing the Argentine Armed Forces promoted by the Government of Javier Milei.

By acquiring not only the F-16 fighter jets but also state-of-the-art technology in electronic warfare, Argentina strengthens its strategic deterrence, improves its air defense capability, and reaffirms its commitment to developing a modern, interoperable Air Force aligned with NATO standards.
Minister Petri's trip to Denmark and the completion of these contracts mark a key stage in strengthening national defense, integrating cutting-edge technology and strategic alliances with leading countries in the defense industry.
