Milei reschedules his launch in Junín and prepares a massive event

President Javier Milei will resume his electoral campaign in Buenos Aires province after the suspension of the event scheduled in Junín due to adverse weather conditions.

The event, which was to be held at Teatro San Carlos, was postponed to next Monday and will mark the beginning of La Libertad Avanza's campaign in Buenos Aires, with the presence of the main candidates of the party.

The decision to reschedule was made due to the formation of a cyclogenesis and the forecast of strong winds. Casa Militar and Milei himself agreed that the storm could hinder both the access of attendees and the turnout at the theater, which has a capacity of around two thousand people.  "I'm afraid of the coming storm. It's going to be chaos", a libertarian candidate had warned before the postponement was confirmed.

The event in Junín will keep the same format initially planned. Milei will speak at around 8:00 p.m., preceded by his top candidate for national deputy, José Luis Espert. A campaign photo will also be taken with the first twenty Buenos Aires candidates for national deputies, along with key figures aspiring to positions in the provincial Legislature and Senate.

The suspension was discussed at a meeting in Casa Rosada led by presidential advisor Santiago Caputo, attended by Sebastián Pareja, Cristian Ritondo, and national deputy Diego Santilli. Afterwards, the meeting continued with the ruling party's political committee, which also includes Karina Milei, Eduardo "Lule" Menem, and Martín Menem. In that setting, strategic aspects of the campaign and the schedule of events for the coming weeks were defined.

As planned, Milei will lead between three and four main activities in Buenos Aires province. In addition to Junín, the event scheduled for August 27 in Lomas de Zamora stands out, which will coincide with the start of the national campaign. The final event before the September 7 elections will be held at a club located between Moreno and General Rodríguez, within the First Electoral Section, an area considered decisive in the contest with Peronism.

Meanwhile, the leadership of La Libertad Avanza continues organizing an event at the Live Arena in Tortuguitas, with a capacity for 13,500 people, which will be dedicated to the presentation of poll watchers.

The goal is to gather more than 40,000 throughout the province and other districts, with the aim of ensuring oversight and minimizing the possibility of irregularities. "We were told that the September elections are key to thinking about those in October", said a leader who participated in the last campaign meeting led by Ritondo and Pareja.

The electoral projections presented at that meeting indicate a competitive scenario. In the Third Section, an unfavorable result is expected, while in the First, there is confidence in achieving a favorable difference. In the Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh, a greater margin is expected, while in the Second, Fourth, and Eighth, caution prevails.

The Government believes that a good performance in September will help build confidence in the markets and contribute to a decrease in Country Risk and financial volatility. With that goal, the libertarian strategy combines high-impact territorial events with a logistical deployment aimed at contesting every vote in Buenos Aires province.
