Milei spoke after the Buenos Aires elections: 'Not a single millimeter will be taken back.'

The Argentine president delivered a speech after the results of the Buenos Aires legislative elections were announced

President Javier Milei spoke from the La Libertad Avanza bunker in La Plata after the results of the elections in the province of Buenos Aires became known, which marked a victory for Peronism thanks to the mobilization of its entire apparatus.

"Without a doubt, in the political arena today we've suffered a clear defeat, and if anyone wants to rebuild, what must be done is to accept the results; we've experienced an electoral setback," the president stated in a self-critical tone.

Subsequently, he offered a brief analysis of the Kirchnerist victory. "At the same time, when one looks at these results that are emerging so far, what is clear is that they performed in line with what they usually achieve in executive elections. They've deployed the apparatus they've had for 40 years and executed it efficiently," Milei pointed out.

In that regard, Milei maintained that, despite the victory, Peronism has already reached its limit. "They've achieved the best possible result they could have," the President noted.

This way, the president stated that the real challenge lies in the last major electoral event of the year: the national legislative elections. "This is a floor from which we'll begin working toward October 26, when the national elections take place," he emphasized.

"This will lead to a thorough analysis of the results and a deep self-critique; there is no option, we'll correct all the mistakes, everything in which we've been wrong," the libertarian president stated from the La Libertad Avanza bunker, approximately one hour after the results of the Buenos Aires elections became known.

Meanwhile, President Javier Milei assured that he will double down after La Libertad Avanza's defeat: "Not a single millimeter will be reversed in the Government's policy. The course is not only confirmed, but we'll accelerate it even more."
