After failing to reach an agreement with Marcelo Campos, the diva's former driver decided to turn to the courts
Mirtha Legrand will face a labor lawsuit after failing to reach an agreement with her former driver, Marcelo Campos, who worked with her for 30 years. The news was confirmed on the show A la Tarde (América TV), where Karina Mazzocco and Luis Bremer explained the details of the legal process.
According to Bremer, if the negotiation doesn't remain in the private sphere, the case could reach the Mandatory Labor Conciliation Service (SECLO), under the Ministry of Labor. If no agreement is reached at this stage, Campos would file a formal lawsuit against the host, who, if found guilty, would have to pay the corresponding compensation.
The reasons for the dismissal
Journalist Luis Bremer was the first to report Campos's dismissal through his social media. Later, Adrián Pallares and Rodrigo Lussich expanded on the information on Intrusos (América TV), revealing that the decision might not have been made directly by Mirtha Legrand.
"She never wanted to let go of Marcelo. It wasn't her decision," Lussich explained. Apparently, the conflict arose when the driver requested a salary increase. Campos not only transported Mirtha but also took Juana Viale's children to school, ran errands, and drove Marcela Tinayre to the airport when she traveled.

The problem might have started in April of last year, when the worker demanded payment for overtime."Mirtha is very sad about the situation. She expressed her discomfort, but couldn't do anything," they added on the show.
The former driver's version
In an interview with Mediodía Bien Arriba (TV Pública), Marcelo Campos broke his silence and expressed his uncertainty about the reasons for his dismissal. "I don't know why they fired me. They didn't give me any explanation. I asked, but they didn't tell me anything," he stated.
Despite the conflict, Campos left open the possibility of an agreement. "I prefer not to talk too much. Everything that's not said is solved more easily. If there's no solution, we'll see what to do later," he concluded.
The future of the case will now depend on the Justice system, while Mirtha Legrand's circle remains silent in the face of the impending lawsuit.
