An unexpected absence surprised viewers of MasterChef Celebrity Argentina (Telefe) this Tuesday. Momi Giardina did not appear in the competition due to a health issue and, as a consequence, the production decided to apply a direct sanction: she will go straight to the next elimination gala.
As soon as the broadcast began, Wanda Nara announced the absence to the rest of the participants: "Momi was also supposed to cook today. She couldn't be here, so she goes directly to the elimination gala." She then explained the reason: "She is sick, she has a fever... That's why, Momi, we send you a kiss. Take good care of yourself and you have to come to the gala with everything."
This way, to maintain fairness in the competition, Giardina will have to face the decisive stage directly without having had the opportunity to earn points in this week's kitchen. "They sent her to her doom," joked her teammate Valu Cervantes, setting the relaxed tone that characterizes the show despite the setback.

The measure caused a reaction among the show's followers on social media, where some considered the sanction "too harsh" for a case of illness, while others defended the decision since it is a competition format.

Momi's absence was not the only situation that got people talking on the show. During the day's challenge, the participants had to prepare milanesas, and Maxi López starred in a funny exchange with the host.
"Name of the dish?" Damián Betular asked him. "I called it The Craving. During my wife's pregnancy, this time, she wants milanesas, so at any hour I have to get up and make them," Maxi explained.
Quickly, Wanda asked a pointed question: "The question is... now who is making milanesas for your wife?" Amid laughter and a surprised look, López replied: "It's terrible." The situation caused laughter in the studio and on social media.
The back-and-forth continued when Wanda asked to try the milanesa her ex-husband had prepared and even teased him about the date he met Daniela Christiansson. "Your tattoo is almost faded," the host said mischievously. Maxi, calm, replied: "We met 11 years ago. The math adds up."
