San Lorenzo is experiencing a new chapter in its deep crisis. The management has only paid part of the salaries, while most of the squad still haven't been paid, which is causing unrest and concern within the locker room.
According to sources close to the Ciclón, the club still owes the August salaries to the entire squad. The only widespread payment was made to the players with the lowest salaries, who reportedly received their pay for that month. Meanwhile, the players with higher contracts, including several key figures, still haven't received payment for the last two months, which is maintaining internal tension.
One of the few exceptions is Jhohan Romaña, who was paid for July, August, and September. The Colombian defender had a clause that allowed him to become a free agent in case of non-payment, so the management decided to settle his debt immediately to prevent his departure. Meanwhile, Alexis Cuello reportedly received part of the money, although it is not clear whether it was the full payment.
