More than 100 neighborhoods in Córdoba spent the weekend without water due to a pipe break.
Although the main pipe has already been repaired, detours and complaints persist after the water shortage caused by the damaged conduit in El Tropezón
Early Monday morning, work was completed to repair a water conduit in the El Tropezón area. The break had started Saturday night, leaving more than 100 neighborhoods in the city of Córdoba without service.
For two days, residents endured below-freezing temperatures and unannounced outages in their homes.

Aguas Cordobesas delayed the notice
The company Aguas Cordobesas admitted that the repair was complex due to interference from other services. However, several residents reported that they weren't warned in time to prepare for the outage.
The lack of communication caused discomfort, especially in homes without a tank or with elderly people.

Technical operation in a critical area
The damaged pipe ran through an area with Ecogas lines and a pedestrian bridge belonging to Caminos de las Sierras. For this reason, technicians from different institutions were called in to carry out the task safely.
Contact was also maintained with the Caminera Police to organize road closures and traffic detours.

More than one hundred neighborhoods affected
Among the neighborhoods without water over the weekend were Nueva Córdoba, Güemes, Alberdi, San Vicente, and General Paz. Sectors such as Alta Córdoba, Las Palmas, Villa El Libertador, and part of the downtown area were also affected.
In total, it is estimated that more than one hundred neighborhoods in the capital were left without service between Saturday and early Monday morning.

Restricted traffic and ongoing detours
Although the conduit has already been repaired, the access branches of the El Tropezón distributor remain closed to traffic. Vehicles traveling on Route E-55 or Avenida Ejército Argentino must take detours to Kempes.
The same route applies to those traveling on Avenida Colón and seeking to enter Circunvalación Sur.

Service being restored, but complaints continue
The water supply began to be gradually restored early Monday morning. Aguas Cordobesas guaranteed alternative supply for hospitals, clinics, and nursing homes during the crisis.
Nevertheless, complaints persist about the lack of foresight and the slowness in resolving a failure that exposed structural shortcomings.
