Nicolás Tomás Garrido Aparicio, a player from the Reserve team, is at the center of a serious allegation of alleged gender violence filed by his ex-partner, who accused him of having physically assaulted her and held her against her willin an apartment in the City of Buenos Aires.
The accusation was filed with the Domestic Violence Office (OVD) of the Supreme Court by a 21-year-old woman from La Plata. After evaluating the case, the professionals involved determined that it is a situation of “high risk,” which prompted the immediate adoption of protective measures.
According to the judicial filing, the events allegedly occurred during the early hours of Saturday. According to the complainant's account, they both met at a nightclub and then went to the player's home. There, a situation of violence allegedly erupted that began from an episode of jealousy.

The young woman claimed that she suffered physical assaults for more than two hours and that the footballer prevented her from leaving the place. Additionally, she stated that he took her cell phone, leaving her without communication and unable to call for help. In her statement, she also claimed to have suffered considerable injuries, including a broken nose, as well as various bruises on different parts of her body.
The evaluation conducted by the OVD included alleged episodes of physical, psychological, and property violence. Based on these conclusions, the Civil Court No. 83 of the City of Buenos Aires decided to grant protection to the young woman while the investigation progresses.
Among the measures adopted is a 200-meter restraining order against Garrido Aparicio, the prohibition of any contact by any means, including phone calls, messages, and social media, and the continuation of the panic button provided to the young woman.

The measures took effect immediately once the complaint was formalized and will remain in place while judicial proceedings are ongoing. For its part, Independiente has not yet issued an official statement regarding the situation of the footballer, while the case continues its course in the Justice system.
