Stranger than Heaven, the new game from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, was shown again at an Xbox event and finally confirmed its launch window. The title will arrive during the summer of this year, between the end of 2026 and the beginning of 2027
.The project is developed by the studio responsible for the Like a Dragon saga and had previously appeared in an Xbox Partner Preview. Now, during a new Xbox Presents, director Masayoshi Yokoyama revealed details about the story, the combat system and several of
its main mechanics.
What the story of Stranger than Heaven will be
One of the central points of Stranger than Heaven will be its narrative structure, which will cover five different periods over 50
years.The story will follow Makoto Daito and Yu Shinjo, two characters who leave the United States to start a new life in Japan.
As Masayoshi Yokoyama explained, both characters cross “the same path from different perspectives” in a plot focused on identity, friendship, destiny and a sense of belonging.
The game will cover different Japanese cities and show how society changes with the passage of time
and the cultural influence of the West.The cities and times confirmed
