Neymar spoke about the tough defeat against Argentina: 'It's sad...'
The forward, who couldn't be present at the clásico due to injury, gave his opinion on the historic thrashing and the future of his national team
The repercussions continue in Brazil after the heavy 4-1 defeat suffered against the Argentine National Team in the South American Qualifiers. Meanwhile, the Canarinha is still searching for a new coach following Dorival Junior's departure, it was Neymar who broke the silence. Despite not being present at the match, the forward was visibly affected by the defeat.

"I watched the game, I spoke with some players after the defeat. It's sad, right? It's bad to lose a game, we know, but the way it happened... We know it was a bad day for everyone. When you have a bad day, things don't happen. That's part of football. Unfortunately, that's how it is and that's what happened with our team," he expressed in dialogue with the press during the award ceremony of the Campeonato Paulista.
Despite the criticism of the team, Neymar supported his teammates and highlighted their commitment to bringing the Verdeamarela back to the elite of world football, in Qualifiers that have been irregular for the Brazilian team. "We know the commitment of all the players, the dedication they have. We need more. Only we, the players of the Brazilian national team, can change this situation. That's what I tell them and you: it only depends on us, to unite to improve more and more," the forward stated.
Neymar and the possible arrival of Jorge Jesus to the Brazil national team
The much-anticipated departure of Dorival Junior has led the Canarinha to evaluate different options to fill the coaching position. Initially, the main goal was to convince Carlo Ancelotti, but the Italian confirmed his continuity at Real Madrid. Other alternatives, such as Filipe Luis, currently at Flamengo, also did not prosper, leading to the consideration of less conventional names.

In this context, the historic former forward Ronaldo opined that Brazil is going through "the right moment to hire a foreign coach," arguing that "coaches are not being well-trained" in the country. As a result, the name of the Portuguese Jorge Jesus began to gain relevance.
Curiously, the Portuguese coach managed Neymar during his time at Al-Hilal, although that experience was not entirely positive for the forward. Asked about the possibility of Jorge Jesus taking over the national team, Neymar chose to stay out of it and replied emphatically to Charla Podcast: "I have nothing to do with this. I'm a player, don't involve me in this. I'm out."
Although he avoided speaking directly, the tone of his response suggests that the relationship between the two did not end on the best terms, especially after Jorge Jesus excluded him from his drafts in the final stage of his tenure at Al-Hilal.
