Neymar won't play the double date of South American Qualifiers due to his injury.
Santos player, along with two other Brazilian figures, was cut from Dorival Júnior's final draft list
Neymar Jr. has been withdrawn from the Brazil National Team for the upcoming 2026 World Cup Qualifiers against Colombia and Argentina due to a muscle injury in his left thigh. The coach Dorival Júnior made this decision after evaluating the progress of the injury that the forward recently suffered. For the same reason, Danilo and Ederson will also be absent.
Recently, the Santos player couldn't play the Paulista Championship semifinal against Corinthians due to muscle discomfort. The team's coach, Pedro Caixinha, decided not to risk him to avoid a possible aggravation of the injury and to have him available for the start of the Brasileirao.

The 33-year-old player had been drafted on March 6 to reinforce the Canarinha, marking his anticipated return after a 17-month absence due to a severe knee injury. Since his return to Santos, the player has played seven matches, contributing with three goals and three assists, and was showing signs of both physical and football recovery.
Instead of Neymar, Dorival Júnior has drafted the young Real Madrid forward, Endrick, 18 years old, who has shown outstanding performance at his club under Carlo Ancelotti's direction. Besides Endrick, Alex Sandro from Flamengo and Lucas Perri from Olympique Lyonnais were also drafted, replacing the injured Danilo and Ederson, respectively.

Brazil, currently in fifth place in the Qualifiers standings with 18 points in 12 matches, will face Colombia on March 21 and Argentina on March 26. These matches are crucial for the Canarinha to regain positions in the South American Qualifiers table and secure their qualification for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
