Nico Occhiato accused Migue Granados of sabotaging Luzu TV with bots: 'I understand everything now'

The intense clash between Olga and Luzu's hosts that erupted on social media after a suspicious rise in ratings

This Tuesday, April 22, Luzu TV experienced a surprising increase in its audience. In just a few hours, it surpassed Olga, the channel led by Migue Granados. However, the celebration was short-lived.

Nico Occhiato, host of Luzu, claimed that the peak in views was not organic. Through his account on X (formerly Twitter), he asserted that it was a maneuver with bots. He immediately pointed at Granados.

Nico Occhiato: "I understood everything"

Occhiato commented on a video  shared by a follower where Migue Granados talked about ethics in business. In those images, Granados reflected on "ruining another venture so that one's own works."

The host of Luzu accompanied the clip with a strong phrase: "Alright. I understood everything". His message was read as a direct accusation, and it sparked controversy.

Migue Granados didn't take long to respond. He replied with irony and denied any manipulation.  "That video was uploaded by a user you follow, it's about a topic we've been discussing for months," he explained. He concluded: "We didn't use bots on you, because we don't know how to do it, Nico. What we do know how to do is good shows, good photos, good specials, good studios..."

"This number is not real": Occhiato's statement

Hours before the clash with Granados,  Occhiato had already shown his annoyance on social media. "This number is not real, we usually have 15,000 less at this time," he expressed, hinting that something strange had happened with the broadcast.

This message states that the audience number is not real, as they usually have 15k less. It mentions that bots were sent to them and the count is rising quickly, which is strange. It clarifies that they are not competing with anyone nor are they interested in boasting numbers; they just want to create the best content for their community. It expresses frustration about the situation and, although they try not to get involved, the emotion overwhelms them and they want to make the matter clear to avoid misunderstandings.

He also mentioned that someone spread that altered data just minutes after it happened.  "Very strange,"  he wrote, without naming anyone directly. He added: "We are not competing with anyone, we are not interested in beating anyone, nor do we boast about numbers."

The message ended with a personal confession. "It makes me very frustrated that this happens. I try not to get involved or respond, but this time emotion got the better of me," he posted.

Before Occhiato spoke out, Migue Granados had already launched a phrase that was now read with suspicion: "Guys, act natural! In a minute!?"

Thus, a suspicious variation in the ratings sparked a real war between two strong figures of local streaming.
