After weeks of speculation and conflicting reports, Nicolás Vázquez decided to put an end to the mystery and confirm his relationship with Daiana Fernández, his co-star in the play Rocky.
In a conversation with Socios del espectáculo, the actor acknowledged that the romantic relationship is very recent and that it was never his intention to have to give public explanations about his private life.
However, media pressure and the interest of fans led him to reveal what he had so far preferred to keep private.

"This is difficult because I'm talking little by little, but you all make me talk too because you show up here every day. We're doing well and it's something that's only a few days old. As Yanina (Latorre) said, I'm also trying to process it because four and a half months ago I was having a hard time, and now I'm trying to feel better. I'm trying to keep everything in order," Vázquez said, visibly moved by the media exposure.
The actor also pointed out that he understands the media commotion is inevitable: "I understand that it's a mess for people more than for us, since we know how the story goes."
When the reporter asked him how they are experiencing this new stage as a couple, Vázquez was honest: "New. Even we don't understand what's happening. But if it were up to me, I wouldn't have said anything because it's something that's only a few days old. You're starting something with someone, you're getting to know each other from a different place, and it's a matter of respect. But also, out of respect, I can't deny something that I'm living. Because if tomorrow you see me with her walking somewhere, I'd be a liar. So I'd love to be able to walk with her down the street."
He also spoke about what he learned from his previous relationship with Gimena Accardi, which lasted more than a decade: "My previous relationship was very exposed. Because of me and because of Gime. That caused a mess, a kind of fanaticism. My next relationship, I want it to be a bit more private. You might see me a little more boring, but it's very hard for me, because if you open that door again, it's very difficult to close it. So you also have to take some responsibility for that."
