Nicolás Cabré confirmed that Rufina will live in Türkiye with Mauro Icardi and China Suárez
The actor confirmed that his 12-year-old daughter will move to Istanbul with La China Suárez and Mauro Icardi
Nicolás Cabré spoke publicly for the first time about the future of his daughter Rufina, the result of his relationship with La China Suárez, and confirmed that the teenager decided to settle in Istanbul, Türkiye, together with her mother and Mauro Icardi.
In an interview with Tatiana Schapiro for Infobae, the actor explained that the decision was made by Rufina herself and that he made sure to support her so she would not carry any guilt or pressure.
"I talk to her every day when she's in Türkiye by video call. Obviously, she's missed, but we're always in touch. We have this relationship that doesn't change. This decision is hers, because we give her the options and the decision is free of any guilt," Cabré stated.

The actor emphasized that, despite the distance, he keeps a close bond with his daughter and that his priority is for her to experience this stage calmly: "It's not that she's going to see her mom a little more now than her dad. No, dad is happy. My job is to take all the weight off her shoulders regarding that decision, which isn't easy for a 12-year-old girl."
Cabré stated that he admires Rufina's courage to face what he described as "an adventure": "Leaving the country, meeting new people, all of this is an adventure."
When asked if the teenager will continue her studies abroad, he replied: "Yes, and it makes me happy. I would be sad if she didn't have options. She needs to see that I'm a happy dad. She needs to be reassured that I'm here, that we talk every day, and that when she comes, everything is the same."

Regarding how he is experiencing this new stage, Cabré was clear: "Rufi is the love of my life. I feel she's cared for, there's no doubt about that. I'm very calm. There's harmony. If I felt she wasn't cared for, none of this would be happening."
The actor's stance divided opinions on social media. Some users questioned the decision to allow the girl to live so far from her environment: "Letting the girl go live in Türkiye is crazy for many reasons: distance, separation from siblings, different culture, how sudden it is... and on top of that, to live with a stranger," one user wrote.
Others were harsher: "What's the guarantee that the girl will be okay, far from her friends and with a man accused of violence?"
However, there were also voices that supported Cabré for respecting his daughter's wishes: "Very good, Nico. Rufina made the decision and he respected it. It's normal for a grown girl to want to experience and study in another country, it's a great opportunity."
