Nicolás Grosman and Martín Ku issued a statement after being involved in a scam.

Former Big Brother contestants were promoting a program that aimed to take women between 18 and 22 years old to Russia

The former participants of Gran Hermano, Nicolás Grosman and Martín "Chino" Ku, found themselves embroiled in a major controversy after promoting a job offer on their social media that sparked multiple suspicions among users.

The offer was exclusively aimed at women aged 18 to 22 to work in Russia, promoted as an international employment opportunity. However, the lack of clarity in the details and the specific profile of the target audience raised alarms among thousands of internet users who quickly expressed their disapproval.

In response to the controversy, both influencers released a joint statement on their Instagram accounts, where they explained the context behind their participation in the campaign and sought to distance themselves from any accusations.

Statement on work conducted in Russia, clarifying participation in an international promotional campaign without knowledge of any irregularities, and expressing concern over unfounded accusations on social media.

"We want to speak clearly about the work we recently did in Russia and the repercussions that arose from it," they began saying in the text shared by both influencers on Instagram and X.

"We were approached by an agency to participate in an international promotion campaign.  We were presented with a clear professional proposal, with defined objectives and a context that was always shown as an educational and work experience.  We accepted and fulfilled our part as content creators, showing what we saw and experienced traveling to Russia," they detailed.

The video in question, now removed from social media, showed the former GH participants promoting an apparent job opportunity for young women.  "Did you hear about the international employment program in Russia with a salary ranging from 860 to 1000 dollars? What are you waiting for? Let's go together!" they said in the recording, while walking through the streets of Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan.

We were invited to participate in an international promotional campaign with a clear professional proposal and defined objectives, showcasing what we experienced in Russia. We were not warned of any irregularities and only shared our experience. We are not part of the program or its organization. In recent hours, unfounded accusations have surfaced on social media. We are concerned about being linked to something so serious. We clarify that the content was removed by Instagram, not by us. We remain available for any necessary clarification.

The detail that sparked the most outrage was the specificity of the call: only young women, with no further details about the type of tasks to be performed or reliable references about the company behind the initiative. This led to multiple accusations suggesting it could be a cover for a trafficking network.

In this regard, Grosman and Ku were adamant: "At no time were we warned or aware of any irregularities. Our role was to communicate an experience from what was presented to us while there. We are not part of the program, we are not part of its organization, nor did we have access to information beyond what any other visitor can see."

"In recent hours, some baseless serious accusations have started circulating on social media and in the media related to our promotion of the program. We are deeply concerned about being linked or accused of something so serious. Additionally, we want to clarify that the content we published was removed by Instagram, not by us. We remain available for any necessary clarification," they concluded.
