Boca stepped on the gas in the transfer market and on Tuesday finalized the signing of Santiago Ascacíbar. After several windows in which the midfielder was on the radar, the Xeneize board managed to reach an agreement with Estudiantes de La Plata and the midfielder will become the second reinforcement for the club from La Ribera.
The deal was completed through an express negotiation. Although the official figures haven't been confirmed yet, Pincha accepted an offer of 4 million dollars for 80% of the transfer rights plus the loan of Brian Aguirre. The winger who came through at Newell’s will continue his career with Eduardo Domínguez's team, which had already shown interest in him in previous windows.
Ascacíbar will undergo his medical examination this Tuesday and, if no issues arise, he will sign a contract for four seasons. He will even be part of the delegation that will travel this Wednesday to La Plata to face Estudiantes, although he won't play against his former team.
