In the context of a process of administrative reorganization and restructuring led by the Board of Directors, the “Prof. Dr. Juan P. Garrahan” Pediatric Hospital announced the end of the medical residents' strike, as they decided to return to their jobs following the implementation of a significant increase in their income.

The measure represents a decisive step toward the normalization of care and the strengthening of the public health service in one of the country's most important healthcare centers.
The conflict was solved in a context of transformation aimed at order, efficiency, and recognition of merit, values that align with the vision of the national government. In this regard, the hospital implemented an improvement in the income received by professionals in training, fully funded with its own resources, without additional assistance from the National Treasury. These resources were obtained through an internal economic reorganization process, reflecting transparent and austere management.

With the new scheme, the net income of a first-year resident exceeds 1,300,000 pesos (2,866 USD), while senior residents and chief residents receive compensation above 1,500,000 pesos (3,308 USD). Meanwhile, a biometric attendance control system was established, a tool that reinforces the educational nature of the residency and requires full responsibility from those seeking to complete their training. The hospital also firmly denied reports suggesting an attempt to replace residents during the conflict: "Under no circumstances did the hospital consider replacing medical residents. Regarding the groups that insist on maintaining strike actions, the statement was unequivocal: "Those who insist on continuing strike actions after the measures taken by the Board of Directors do so for political reasons and in defense of interests unrelated to those of the institution."
