Among the latest revelations about the case of the triple drug-related murder in Florencio Varela, a concerning detail has emerged, as it was discovered that the house where the murders of Brenda del Castillo, Morena Verdi, and Lara Gutiérrez took place belongs to a union leader linked to Kirchnerism.
According to journalist Eduardo Feinmann on Radio Mitre, the property located at Chañar 702, Villa Vatteone, is owned by Silvia Almazán, deputy secretary of the Unified Union of Education Workers of Buenos Aires (SUTEBA) and supporter of Governor Axel Kicillof.
Almazán has an extensive career in the union world and is considered Roberto Baradel's right-hand woman, the current head of SUTEBA. Before her current position, she served as secretary of culture and education of the union and was director of the Institute for Economic and Social Development Stella Maldonado, an organization under the Central of Workers of Argentina (CTA).
Her name is now at the center of controversy not only because of her political and union role, but also due to the concerning connection between the property under her ownership and the triple murder that caused great social shock.
