Pablito Ruiz charged his fans at his 50th birthday party and sparked a wave of criticism
The singer sparked controversy and divided his fans on social media, although some attendees stated that they were aware of the fee
Pablito Ruiz celebrated his 50th birthday with a party that set social media ablaze. Far from going unnoticed, his birthday became a topic of debate due to a decision that left more than one fan speechless.
The singer shared a short video of the celebration on his social media. He was seen sitting at a table, surrounded by guests, in a hall in Lomas de Zamora. Everything seemed in order until an unexpected practice came to light.

The cover charge
It was journalist Fede Flowers who revealed the detail that sparked the controversy. According to his account, Pablito Ruiz charged fans a cover fee to attend the event.
"Shameful," Flowers described in his post, and explained that the singer organized the gathering especially for his fan club. What outraged many was not so much the charge itself, but the lack of prior notice and the unknown amount until the moment they sat at the table.

On social media, comments multiplied. Some defended the singer's decision with economic arguments. "If there are people who pay for it and nobody forced them, it's fine," wrote one user. Others, however, considered that the surprise was the most questionable aspect of the matter.
Fede Flowers clarified that guests found out about the charge when they were already at the party. Some paid in cash, while others had to transfer the money at that moment. Confusion reigned in an environment that was supposedly meant to be celebratory.

A recurring practice
The journalist also recalled that this was not the first time Pablito Ruiz used this approach. During his tours abroad, he claimed, he has also charged fans who attend events organized by him.
The controversy remained on social media. Meanwhile, some justified the action as an attempt by the singer to cover his event costs, while others questioned the lack of transparency with his most loyal followers.
Thus, Pablito Ruiz's 50th birthday ended up being discussed more for what was paid than for what was celebrated.
