President Javier Milei led the meeting of the new National Political Committee

The government seeks to strengthen political coordination after its bloc's defeat in Buenos Aires Province

President Javier Milei led the first meeting of the National Political Committee of La Libertad Avanza (LLA) today, in a move aimed at strengthening political coordination after his party's defeat in Buenos Aires Province.

According to the official statement released after the meeting, the committee's objective is to "defend the course we have been building because it is the only one that can lead us to prosperity."

The message from the National Political Committee reflects the president's determination to continue his economic and social transformation project. "We  will put ourselves on the line to defend this project and defend it tooth and nail. All other approaches have already failed," the statement says, highlighting LLA's conviction that its plan is the only way to lift the country out of the critical state left by Kirchnerism.

The meeting was attended by the president, the Secretary General, Karina Milei, the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Martin Menem, the Chief of Staff, Guillermo Francos, presidential advisor Santiago Caputo, spokesperson Manuel Adorni, and the Minister of National Security, Patricia Bullrich.

After the meeting, Milei posted a message on his social media summarizing the government's philosophy: "LA LIBERTAD AVANZA OR ARGENTINA FALLS BEHIND. VLLC!"

The establishment of the National Political Committee and the holding of its first meeting take place in a context of high political tension, following Kirchnerism's victory in the legislative elections in Buenos Aires Province. LLA's initiative seeks to coordinate strategies ahead of the national elections in October and to project internal unity and political authority.
