The organization of the 35th Pride March has announced the slogans that will take to the streets of Buenos Aires this Saturday, November 7, and has made it clear that the call will far exceed the demands related to "sexual diversity": among its demands are the release of Cristina Kirchner and Milagro Sala, a general strike against the government of Javier Milei, and the rejection of various reforms in criminal matters.

In the flyers released to promote the mobilization, the organization explicitly demands a “general strike and plan of struggle” in response to the government's austerity measures and states that “the strength is in the grassroots.” It also expresses its rejection of the law on recidivism and the lowering of the age of criminal responsibility.

One of the most openly partisan points is the demand for the release of the former president convicted of corruption, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner. The organizers speak of “imprisonment, proscription, and judicial persecution” and also add a request for the release of the also corrupt Milagro Sala and other individuals whom they present as being persecuted for political reasons.

In this way, the mobilization incorporates an openly Kirchnerist and pro-crime agenda. Alongside demands for "sexual freedom," positions advocating for guarantees, labor conflicts, convicted leaders, and an explicit offensive against the national government have been added.

The participation of political and union sectors is also not concealed. The Autonomous CTA of Buenos Aires publicly called for participation in the march under slogans against the administration of Javier Milei, and one of its leaders even demanded “Out Milei” and impeachment against the President. Other leftist organizations also used the call to demand a general strike and a plan of struggle against the government.

The Pride March will also take place during a weekend that is particularly sensitive for the City due to the visit of Pope Leo XIV. Months ago, the city government had requested to move the mobilization from November 7 to November 21 to facilitate security operations, a request that was initially rejected by the organizers.

The dissemination of the slogans ultimately showcased the strong leftist political content of the call: alongside claims typical of the LGBT+ lobby, the Kirchnerist organizers decided to incorporate practically a platform of opposition to the government.
