British Crown: Prince Harry is accused of intimidation and workplace harassment

Great Britain is embroiled in a new scandal involving Prince Harry. He was accused of bullying and workplace harassment by the president of the NGO Sentebale, Sophie Chandauka. 

This organization, co-founded by the prince, works in Africa to support young people orphaned by AIDS. However, its internal relationship was marked by a conflict that left the prince estranged.

Prince Harry's departure from Sentebale

Prince Harry announced he was leaving Sentebale "devastated," after a conflict arose with the organization's president, Sophie Chandauka. The rift between the NGO's trustees and Chandauka, appointed in 2023, left the situation untenable, according to the joint statement from the prince and his co-founder, Prince Seeiso of Lesotho.

Chandauka directly accused Harry of attempting to "oust her" from the organization through bullying and harassment over several months. The president claimed to have evidence of these actions, which created even more tension among the parties involved.

The administrators' reaction

The board members believe that Chandauka's accusations are part of a publicity stunt. However, the NGO's president denounced a culture of "silence" within the organization. She also pointed to the prince's departure as a factor contributing to the loss of donors.

Harry's departure from Sentebale has had repercussions both in the organization and in its relationship with donors. In 2020, when Harry left the British royal family, the organization suffered a significant drop in its funds. Additionally, the prince was criticized for bringing a Netflix filming crew to an NGO fundraising event.
