King Charles's youngest son admitted to using drugs, and for that reason, his visa should have been denied

The residence of Prince Harry in Montecito, California, could be compromised following the recent decision of a U.S. judge. Partial publication of documents related to his visa application has been ordered before Tuesday, which could reveal crucial information about his immigration status.

The controversy arose from the publication of his memoir, where the youngest son of King Charles III admitted to using cocaine and hallucinogenic mushrooms. Meanwhile, the Heritage Foundation, a conservative U.S. group, requested that his visa application be released. According to U.S. regulations, drug use could have disqualified him from obtaining the document, leading to suspicions about the truthfulness of his statement.

The process driven by the Heritage Foundation

Judge Carl Nichols, appointed by Donald Trump, rejected the full publication of the documents in September. However, after an appeal by the Heritage Foundation, the case was reconsidered and it was determined that there is a public interest in knowing part of the Duke of Sussex's immigration file.

Trump's statements and his stance on Harry

In February, Trump stated that he wouldn't deport Harry even if it was proven that he lied on his application. "I'll leave him alone. He's got enough with his wife, who is terrible," he declared to the New York Post, referring to Meghan Markle. However, in previous statements, the former president indicated that Harry shouldn't receive special treatment and that, if he had concealed information, appropriate measures should be taken.

Trump's relationship with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex is tense, especially with Meghan Markle, who called him misogynistic during his campaign against Hillary Clinton. In contrast, Trump maintains a cordial relationship with King Charles III and Prince William. In fact, the British monarch recently invited him for an official visit to the United Kingdom and the heir to the throne met with him in Paris earlier this year.

The publication of the documents could clarify whether Harry committed any irregularity in his visa application and whether it could trigger legal consequences in the United States.
