Prolonged crying: Pablo Carro, Córdoba's congressman, insists on continuing to defend CFK

The national legislator discredits the Court's ruling and continues his shameful media tour, wielding disgraceful arguments

The Kirchnerist lawmaker once again questioned the Judiciary after the ruling that upholds Cristina's conviction for corruption in the Vialidad case. The legislator stated that the decision "will backfire" and anticipated that the Inter-American Court will ultimately overturn the ruling. Meanwhile, as the former president accumulates three convictions, Carro doubled down on his support without questioning crimes proven by multiple judicial instances. "Cristina will grow publicly," the legislator said wittily after the Supreme Court's final ruling. Far from complying with the Judiciary's decision, Carro stated that the conviction will strengthen Cristina's leadership and will reorganize Peronism. "What the ruling will do is awaken a new future for our political force," the national deputy assured deliriously. He also said that the former president will gain international support, although he offered no evidence of such supposed positive repercussions abroad. According to the lawmaker, the conviction solves internal problems within his group that they couldn't address in time or with real political will. In other words, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner's conviction has a positive effect on Peronism. "What was complicated for us to solve is solved by the Supreme Court," he expressed in a celebratory tone after the sentence. Instead of condemning the crime, Carro uses the judicial decision as an electoral organizing tool, ignoring the gravity of the facts.
