Public sector salaries in Córdoba increased by 13.7%, and the real improvement was 2.6%.

Salaries increased between February and May 2025, according to official data, after months without publication

The average salary of contributors to the provincial pension system rose from $1,502,935 in January to $1,709,374 in May, with an increase of 13.7%. Inflation during the same period was 10.8%,  which meant a real recovery of 2.6% in income. This is the first official publication after several months without the release of complete salary figures in Córdoba.

The comparison focuses on the months from February to May due to the implementation of a new calculation methodology that has been in effect since this year. For this reason, it is not possible to compare the values with those of December 2023 or the same period in 2023. Under the previous scheme, salaries had lost 14% in 2023 and recovered 5% in 2024.

The reported earnings correspond to gross amounts, that is, the taxable remuneration subject to pension contributions and mandatory deductions. Non-remunerative items and the annual supplementary salary are not included. Other factors such as promotions, new hires, or workforce aging also have an impact.
